Small Setback

This week has been a cutback week (35 miles) and then next week starts my final phase of marathon training (back to 50 miles) and what a good week to have a low mileage week because Sunday’s rainy 18 miler did a number on my feet. I’ll spare you the photos because I know some of you can’t stomach blister pics but lets just say my big toe and second toe chafed for 16 of those miles leaving my skin completely raw and looking like they went through a meat grinder. Now, with no skin, I can barely walk, let alone run (but maybe I’ll get around to painting my toenails). I got through 15 miles this week but I have no idea how my 19 miler is going to happen … Hoping for a miracle.
